Hey, I guess these days you are attacking media... all your blog links show the dark side of the MEDIA... While going thru all those links.. i found a creative blog link and the concepts(like Organic Poetry) on it...
http://algomantra.blogspot.com/2005/01/algokreeda.html
Now, I have to make sure.. that I don't visit Jayant Patel "Dr. Death" here in portland... ;-)
Indeed it was a hilarious blog to read on desimediabitch... I liked this person Anonymous's perspective.. initial one.. Hey I am happy that I have read 1984 -http://www.studentsfororwell.org/
I see its reference at many places.. even this Naom Chomsky is a fan of George Orwell.. he often allude to NewSpeak and other terms coined in 1984. I have got ran over reading 4 chapters out of 5. I am going to dump back "Necessary Illusions" into the library and will catch hold of some interesting book. Naom Chomsky has made his point in just 50 pages.. rest are just redundant piece of crap collected from the 10 years of newspaper...
You know what.. this book is flooded with facts and figures..it's more like reading 2 lines from daily newspaper of 10 years... Now I can't handle it anymore.. I tried to pore over the long appendix sections.. but they are similar to initial chapters.. reading history book is more interesting than this.. here he just keeps alluding to all historical events in 2 lines and then moves to next...
Anyways.. it was nice reading and realizing the role of media.. how deep impact it can have...
Now on the last provocative line.. which you left open ended for ppl like us to comment... so here I go...
Throw away all your inhibitions and indite whatever you feel like.. coz you won't have to bother like that FAD, as it's not your current employer... but should I correct you.. now Cobol has gone in minority as GTS heat is taking up....
hmm...COBOL is still the main revenue driver of all IT services firms in India, because whole BIFR (think big old banks) use mainframes.
I dont know what is the size of GTS but guess it would be still less than FSG, but must be growing rapidly eh?
And yes latest reports say that Java has finally become 'the' language beating COBOL, so you are right. Not sure if its effect is there on Indian firms.
Would you also mind updating your blog... It's not mandated that you always report either about media conspiracies or about what happening in programming world...
You can also tell about your life as well... see you started the blog with commemorating your life's personal events and you have ended up making it more of a news and views.... boy, once in a while these posts are good or may be in comments section.. but making these news as main post on your blog and phasing out your life's in not good... So tell me about yourself... on your blog... like I keep you guys updated.
How about reporting whats happening in business world ;).
